In rural Punjab, women's economic participation is virtually non-existent. AIBF established two sewing centers — one in Maliyar and one in Bugga Sharif — equipped with sewing machines, irons, and all necessary materials (total setup cost approximately Rs 50,000 per center from sadqa donations). Over 70 women have been trained or are currently enrolled, with 15-20 students per shift. The centers run on a teacher salary of Rs 6,500/month. Graduation ceremonies celebrate completions, and the ultimate goal is economic self-sufficiency: women who can earn from tailoring for their families and communities. AIBF also provides sewing machines as marriage gifts to graduating students and needy families — one was donated in March 2026 for a young girl's marriage. This women empowerment Pakistan initiative is a flagship programme of AIBF's education wing, turning unskilled rural women into earning members of their households. As a charity Pakistan families rely on, AIBF continues to expand vocational training across the NGO Sargodha service area, with plans for additional centres in rural welfare Punjab.
