A Barber Shop, A New Beginning

Bugga Sharif, District Jhelum
Young man from Bugga

In Bugga Sharif, employment opportunities are scarce. AIBF identified a young man with barbering skills but no means to set up shop. Through the livelihood support program, AIBF provided the space and equipment needed to establish a barber shop. Today, it's a thriving small business serving the local community — a success story that demonstrates how targeted, practical support can transform lives. This is part of AIBF's broader microenterprise vision that includes supporting fruit/vegetable carts, fish carts, food stalls, and handicraft businesses in the Kadhee region. AIBF's interest-free loan Pakistan framework, known as Qarz Hasna, empowers aspiring entrepreneurs in rural welfare Punjab to start businesses without the crushing burden of commercial interest rates. This charity Pakistan model proves that sustainable livelihoods, not handouts, are the key to long-term poverty reduction in underserved communities.
