Red Crescent Hospital: 12,800+ Patients in Year One
In July 2024, AIBF launched one of its most impactful healthcare partnerships — a monthly medicine supply programme for Red Crescent Hospital Bhera. Every month, AIBF procures and delivers medicines worth Rs 25,000 to Rs 45,000 depending on patient volume and seasonal disease patterns, ensuring the hospital never runs out of essential drugs. In the first twelve months of the programme, the results have been extraordinary: 12,800+ patients treated, including 6,740 male OPD cases, 4,633 female OPD cases, and 71 safe deliveries. The hospital serves as a critical secondary healthcare facility for Bhera and surrounding villages, handling everything from routine infections to maternal care. AIBF's consistent, reliable medicine supply has transformed the hospital's ability to serve patients who would otherwise be turned away for lack of medicines. The programme costs approximately Rs 3.5 to 5 lakh annually and is funded entirely through donate Pakistan contributions and zakat distribution Pakistan channels. This partnership exemplifies the kind of institutional healthcare support that distinguishes AIBF as a leading charity Pakistan organisation. As the primary NGO Sargodha healthcare partner for Red Crescent, AIBF ensures that free medical camp Bhera patients and hospital walk-ins alike receive treatment regardless of their ability to pay. The programme also supports 71 deliveries to date, making it a critical intervention for maternal health in rural welfare Punjab where women often deliver at home without medical supervision. AIBF's disability support Pakistan arm also benefits from this partnership, as wheelchair and assistive device recipients are referred to Red Crescent for follow-up physiotherapy.
