Marriage Support for a Widow's Daughter

Bhera / Mansoorah Hospital connection
Widow's daughter

In many parts of rural Pakistan, the marriage of a daughter is one of the largest financial events a family will ever face — and for a widow with no male breadwinner, it can feel insurmountable. When AIBF learned through its Mansoorah Hospital network of a widow struggling to arrange her daughter's marriage, the foundation provided Rs 25,000 in immediate support. This contribution covered essential wedding expenses and eased what had become an overwhelming burden for a family already living on the margins. AIBF has a history of supporting marriages for deserving families — the foundation also donates sewing machines as wedding gifts and has provided trousseau items for brides from extremely poor households. Marriage support is a cornerstone of zakat distribution Pakistan, as it directly fulfils one of the categories of zakat expenditure prescribed in Islamic jurisprudence. AIBF's women empowerment Pakistan vision extends to ensuring that marriage does not become a source of crippling debt for vulnerable families. This charity Pakistan initiative reflects the deep community understanding that drives every AIBF programme in the NGO Sargodha service area and beyond, where rural welfare Punjab families often postpone daughters' marriages for years due to financial constraints.
